Connecting Platforms
Link your social media accounts to Tona so you can publish and manage content from one place.
Once your project is set up, the next step is connecting your social media accounts. This lets Tona publish content, manage comments, and track engagement on your behalf.
You can connect and disconnect platforms at any time from your project's platform settings.
- Go to your project's platform settings.
- Click Connect next to Twitter.
- You will be redirected to Twitter. Sign in with the Twitter account you want to connect.
- Authorize Tona to post on your behalf.
- You will be sent back to Tona, and your Twitter account will show as connected.
That is all there is to it. Tona can now publish tweets and manage replies for this account.
- Go to your project's platform settings.
- Click Connect next to LinkedIn.
- You will be redirected to LinkedIn. Sign in with the account you want to connect.
- Authorize Tona to post on your behalf.
- You will be sent back to Tona, and your LinkedIn account will show as connected.
Tona can now publish posts to your LinkedIn profile. If your connection expires, a Reconnect button will appear on your dashboard.
Telegram
- Go to your project's platform settings.
- Click Connect next to Telegram.
- Add Tona's bot to the Telegram group or channel where you want to publish.
- Confirm the connection in Tona.
Once connected, Tona can send messages to your chosen group or channel directly from your dashboard.
Discord
- In your Discord server, go to Server Settings and then Integrations.
- Create a new Webhook for the channel where you want Tona to post.
- Copy the webhook URL.
- Back in Tona, go to your project's platform settings and click Connect next to Discord.
- Paste the webhook URL and confirm.
Tona will now be able to send messages to that Discord channel on your behalf.
Managing Your Connections
You can disconnect or reconnect any platform at any time from the platform settings page. Disconnecting a platform will stop Tona from posting to that account, but it will not delete any content you have already published.
Troubleshooting
- Connection failed? Try disconnecting and reconnecting the platform. Make sure you are signing in with the correct account.
- Twitter not posting? Double-check that you authorized Tona when prompted during the connection step.
