Telegram

Tona integrates with Telegram in two ways: Publishing to send posts to your groups and channels, and Messaging to automatically reply to conversations.

Publishing

Use Publishing mode to broadcast content to your Telegram groups and channels.

Getting Started

1. Go to your project and click Add Platform.
2. Select Telegram from the list.
3. Add the Tona bot to your Telegram group or channel.
4. Enter your group or channel info and click Connect.

Once connected, you can add multiple groups and channels as subscriptions. Tona will broadcast your posts to all of them.

What You Can Send

• Text messages for announcements and updates
• Images or videos with captions
• Media groups with multiple photos or videos in a single post

Messaging

With Messaging mode, Tona can automatically reply to messages in your Telegram groups using AI. This feature is available on the Elite plan.

When someone replies to your bot or mentions it by name, Tona reads the conversation context and generates a helpful, on-brand response.

Setting Up

1. Go to your project and click Add Platform.
2. Switch to the Messaging tab and select Telegram Bot.
3. Follow the instructions to connect your bot.
4. Toggle Automation on to start auto-replying.

Dashboard

Your Telegram dashboard shows you:

• Subscriptions listing your connected groups and channels
• Messages Sent showing how many posts have been broadcast
• Messages Replied tracking auto-replies from your bot

Persona

Customize how Tona's AI writes for Telegram under the Persona tab. Set a custom objective and personality to make sure every message matches your brand voice.
